of Purpose: Today's
library cannot afford not to invest in its employees. Professional development
of staff serves to enhance professional skills and knowledge. The concept
of professional development can take many forms, but, regardless of
what it might consist, the anticipated outcome is the same -- informed,
knowledgeable employees working in a caring, service oriented environment.
